A little humor

I’m not sure why, but these two quotes struck me as particularly funny today.

A synonym is a word you use when you can’t spell the word you first thought of. – Burt Bacharach

You know you’re getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you’re down there. – George Burns

  1. oh, I love George Burns! He also said: “There’s nothing wrong with making love with the lights on – just be sure the car door is closed.”

Hmm, maybe I can get a dvd of him for my mom for Christmas. She loves him too. (No, I don’t have all my shopping done yet, dang it…)

  2. You’re right, they are both very funny…especially the Burt Bacharach saying with the spelling, given your post and our conversation earlier!

As for the one from George Burns…are you that old yet?

  3. Some days I feel that old, but I’m not yet. I watched re-reuns of George and Gracie with my grandpa when I was a kid. Love that show.
