Time Flies
I’ve been very busy lately, I don’t seem to be able to write nearly as much as I’d like. Isn’t that always the case? Being sick last week didn’t help anything.
On the good side I managed to finish a new header graphic that I like a lot. I’ve had the idea for that for a while, but I never quite got it right until now. I took the original photo about 16 years ago for a photography class. It was intended to be a self portrait of sorts. I couldn’t figure out how to do it on the tight schedule I had though so I got a friend to wear my hat and carry my bag while I took the picture. Worked out nicely I thought.
I’ve also finished an updated header image for Taking Back North Dakota. I’m helping Brenarlo with updating that fine site. I’m very pleased with the way that project is going as well.
The project I’m most pleased with though is the remodelling of my house. The new floors are looking great, and I can finish them up as soon as I wrap up refinishing my kitchen cabinets. A couple of weeks and it will be an entirely different looking house. I can’t wait.
Re-reading this post I can see why I’ve been so tired lately.

It looks very nice. Narloch sure needed the help. I’m glad to see he got it.
I’ll be keeping you in mind should I need to do some design changes to my site.

Thank you very much. I really like Brenarlo’s content, but the style needed a little touch up. The general idea was good, but when put in practice it didn’t quite work. A little cleaning up, a little polishing, and the site’s style is starting to show it’s true potential.

[...] It’s strange the people who comment on this blog. Not many really, that’s not the strange part. The strange part is who. Rob from SayAnythingBlog commented on Time Flies today. Ogre from MadOgre.com and Chris Muir of Day by Day have commented in resent weeks. While that may seem like name dropping, and maybe it is a little, that’s not the point of this. People with very large blogs that get thousands of hits a day still comment on blogs like this that don’t always get a hit in a day. That’s weird. [...]

Yup, it sure looks nice.
On the internet, image is everything. We’re all strangers, basically, so the way a site looks is sometimes all we have to go on for a person. If the site looks kinda crummy or unprofessional people are going to think that of the author as well.
