The rain has stopped. Jeanne has officially passed. Had about six inches here and no flooding problems, but just down the road Roanoke got swamped. Three cheers for all of the rescuers.

The Rough Woodsman has some great Presidential debate predictions. I think he’s right on the money. Predictions 1, 2, and 7 seem particularly good, but I think he’ll get at least 5 out of 7.

As everyone and their brother is already reporting: Mr. Kerry, what’s with the tan? Several recent photos of Mr. Kerry show him looking very orange. Is he ready for a televised press conference 24/7 now. Got the makeup permently in place just in case? Oddly a better tan actually makes him look a little more plastic.
