It’s been raining a lot in Southwestern Virginia this week. It’s been wet and damp even when it’s not raining. I hate this kind of weather. I’d even take Seattle weather over this. About the same average rainfall (Seattle 39 inches vs. 40.9 inches a year here), but somehow it doesn’t seem as wet there. Probably a case of “the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence”. The dampness is downright depressing, it makes me feel older than I already am.

I like to think that my nontraditional path to a career in graphic design gives me a unique perspective. While it probably does, it also left me with a bad back and some fused bones in my foot that ache in damp weather. Breaking horses left more of a mark on me than I care to admit, more of a mutual breaking I suppose.

Enough whining, it’s time to get back to work. Extremely busy today, it took me two hours this morning just to get through my e-mail. Could be worse I suppose… the one thing I dislike more than being too busy is being bored.
