Thomas Edison Quotes

I’ve been thinking about Thomas Edison lately. He had an outlook on life and failure that I find fascinating. Here are some of my favorite quotes

“I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.”

“i never failed once. It just happened to be a 2000-step process.”

“I haven’t failed, I’ve found 10,000 ways that don’t work”

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

I hold no patents, but apparently I have what it takes to be an inventor.

“To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk.”

  2. “I haven’t failed, I’ve found 10,000 ways that don’t work”

One of the better quotes from Edison – my other favorite being

Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.
