I’m thinking that the answer is the same as for healthy public high schools. Smaller schools lead to greater individual self-responsibility, and more guidance and leadership contact resulting in fewer dysfunctional behaviors, or less damage resulting from those dysfunctional behaviors. In plain words, applied to governments, NOT smaller governments, SMALLER NATIONS!

I don’t have a love of the solution to this equation. I have always thought “bigger country, bigger advantages”. But anonymity leads to so much selfishness, irresponsibility, disrespect for fellow countrymen who differ from yourself. No access to the highest functioning members of the group, no acknowledgement of the humanity of the weakest.

That’s all fine and good and it sounds good on paper, but let’s say, for the sake of argument, that you do rise up, and get enough people behind you, and you do “throw the bums out”! Then what?

You are only going to get more liars in power that are going to promise you everything, Until, they get into power, and then they are just going to turn around and do the same thing that is being done now!

Rise up again, throw them out and the next one is going to do the same thing, it is a never ending circle, full of liars, and I promise you, you will not live long enough to see the type of change you want to see.

You’re going to grow old, (if they let you live that long, they’ll probably have you killed first), get less, die, be 6 feet under, and they are just going to say, “great, good riddance that’s one less we have to listen to, let’s go out and spend his money too”.

Right you are. That used to be available to the middle class. Did you know that until 1973 Social Security was a Trust for the soul purpose o helping the elderly who lost pensions and starved to death during the great depression. Yes. starvation in the USA. But in 1973 our government overspeant for Vietnam and ruled that because Social Security was fully funded with a surplus that they would borrow from the American people from the surplus. you notice how more and more politicians refer to social security as social security tax. When was the las time and who was the last politician to call it the social security trust fund. So why didn’t they just raise benefits or lower the age limit to recieve benefits, so as The People could enjoy more years of free and unbonded social servitude. To Noble a goal for the earths most poerful and rich nation in 1973. Well if there were a social uprising and The People demanded USA Government give us our money back. It is not yours, than sit around letting corporations, big business, and the US Government of The People, blame it on the Populous, spy, on us and enslave us even more by squandering our wealth, then enslaving us even more, by raising the retirement age, taking away more and more money for the elderly, and more and more life force within. We were covered, to prevent the last socialist revolution by Franklin. Now they they have destroyed that almost completely. Well I think it is time for every American with good conscience and patriotism to stand up the the Congress and demand our money back with interest or throw the bums out! Sam

I saw a different news report that said that there was going to be two other residences on the property in addition. A guest house and a house for his daughter. Wish my dad had that kind of money! But then, I’m on the wrong side of the “two Americas” equation, as are all the rest of the regular people…
