Taking the time and effort during the crisis to track down law abiding citizens and disarm them was criminal. Now, instead of owning up to the problems they have, they’re still trying to deny they did anything wrong. It’s the same strategy my one year old uses when she covers her eyes so I can’t see her. They’re trying to hide they’re eyes, expecting this whole issue to just go away.

Apparently there’s a high criminal element remaining in the inner city after Katrina and it’s difficult to stop the looting, but I think confiscating all firearms is overreaction!

I find it mind boggling how people can underestimate the value of law abiding citizens protecting themselves, and overestimate the governments ability to do the same thing. Gun control for instance, is based on the premise that law abiding people can’t be trusted with firearms, and criminals can be trusted to abide by those same laws. And people are surprised when this doesn’t work like they expect it.

Haven't you learned by now that only the bad guys are allowed have weapons?? It's much more important to take away the property & rights of the law abiding citizen, than, heaven forbid, step on the toes of the criminals!
