		<description>I think in hindsight it is very easy for us to look at the way the situation was handled and say that they should have done this or that.  However, realizing at the time they were dealing with a death by shooting in a residence hall, trying to calm down students, following early investigative leads, and trying to prevent mass chaos, I&#039;m sure they feel as though their actions were logical.  When you announce to a student population that someone on campus has a gun, chaos ensues.  Students panic, parents start calling, rumors start flying, and whatever real pertinent information you were going to get from students gets lost in the middle of all of the &quot;I heard from a friend of a friend that...&quot; 

Had the administrators at VT known what was going to happen I don&#039;t doubt they would have locked down the campus.  I&#039;m sure that they are wrecked with guilt and sorrow over the fact that they didn&#039;t.  It isn&#039;t so clear, it isn&#039;t so simple, as many folks are making it out to be though.</description>

		<description>it is riduculous when we cant even feel safe becuase of such an event but when we cant feel safe becuase of the way things where handled... will students ever be able to trust or feel safe with there administration agian... look at Katrina, thousands can&#039;t trust there government who are in power to protect and serve</description>
